The Mission of the East Beach Association (EBA) is the care, maintenance and preservation of the ocean front property in Westerly, Rhode Island commonly know as the “East Beach”, beginning immediately to the east of the lighthouse in the Fire District of Watch Hill and extending to the beginning of the beach property in the Fire District of Misquamicut. Each summer between Memorial Day and Labor Day, the EBA Crew cleans the beach daily – picking up trash along the whole length of East Beach. During the spring and fall, the Crew implements preservation measures to protect the sensitive dune habitat.
The thousands of visitors who enjoy East Beach each summer benefit from the EBA’s work, which is supported entirely by private donations.
