The Watch Hill Conservancy’s (WHC) mission is to conserve, enhance, and maintain the natural, scenic, and historic values of Watch Hill and Little Narragansett Bay.

In 2013, the WHFD granted the WHC a conservation easement over the Napatree Point Conservation Area (NPCA), consisting of 86 pristine acres of some of the rarest habitats in Rhode Island. NPCA has been formally designated a Globally Important Bird Area” by the National Audubon Society and a Climate Response Demonstration Site by the University of Rhode Island Coastal Institute. Napatree Point Conservation Area is a community resource open to the public year-round—40,000 visitors were welcomed last year alone.
