Watch Hill would not be able to offer many of its wonderful public attractions without the tremendous contributions of the Watch Hill Memorial Library and Improvement Society. The WHMLIS is run entirely by volunteers and funded through private donations. They have been instrumental in the restoration and beautification of the Village Park, and provide ongoing support for many local attractions, including the Lighthouse, Merry-Go-Round, the “Chief Ninigret” and “Dreamer” statues, and the Gazebo. Additionally, the WHMLIS sponsors children’s programs, maintains the library in the Memorial Building, and showcases local artists in art and photography shows.
