The Watch Hill Fire District is proud to announce that members of the Watch Hill Fire Department (WHFD) will be receiving Connecticut State Citations on October 12 for heroic efforts involving an extraordinary rescue in Stonington waters that led to a life being saved.
At the Stonington Police Commission’s meeting on October 12, 2023, WHFD Fire Fighter Joseph Parrilla, Fire Fighter Thomas F. Donoghue, Safety Officer John Cagno and Fire Marshal Christopher D. Moore will be recognized and honored for their demonstrated professionalism and bravery at that rescue.
The Watch Hill Fire District is immensely proud of all members of the WHFD, and we particularly congratulate the members involved in this water rescue for this well-deserved recognition.
